Create A Vacancy

Learn how to create a vacancy in talentATS

Getting Started

From your dashboard, navigate to Vacancies in the sidebar menu and select Add Vacancy to begin the process.

Package Selection

First, you'll need to choose a package for your job posting:

Free Package

Publish your job to:

  • Our network of aggregator and programmatic job boards (Adzuna, ZipRecruiter, Talent.com, JobIsJob, Jooble, and many more)

  • LinkedIn

Unbranded Package

Everything in Free, plus:

  • Reed.co.uk (with talentATS branding)

  • Indeed (with talentATS branding)

Branded Package

Everything in Unbranded, plus:

  • CV-Library (with your company branding)

  • All jobs display with your company branding across all boards

Simply click the Select button on your preferred package to proceed.

Select Type

Choose how you want to create your vacancy:

Create New Job - Start with a blank template

Use Previous Job - Use a previous job posting as a starting point

If you select "Use Previous Job," a search box will appear where you can find previous job postings by title or reference number. Click on a result to select it, then click Next to continue.

Vacancy Information

Enter all the details about your vacancy:

Vacancy Details

  • Reference number (for your internal tracking)

  • Job title

  • Number of openings

Location Details

  • Country

  • Town/City

  • Postcode

Vacancy Type

  • Type (Permanent, Temporary, Contract)

  • Hours (Full Time, Part Time)

  • Industry

Salary Information

  • Currency

  • Salary type (Range or Exact)

  • Salary amount(s)

  • Payment period (Hour, Week, Month, Annum)

  • Benefits

Job Description

Enter a detailed job description in the editor. You can also:

  • Use the Optimise With AI button to enhance your job description

  • Add a person specification if needed (check the "Add Person Specification" box)

Workflow and Management

  • Select a hiring workflow

  • Choose hiring managers who will be involved

Optional Dates

  • Set a closing date for the vacancy

  • Schedule the job to publish at a future date

Vacancy Destinations

Select where you want to publish your vacancy:

Careers Page

Your company careers page (automatically selected)

Social Media Platforms

Share directly to social media:

  • Facebook (requires connection)

  • Instagram (requires connection)

  • LinkedIn (if connected)

Job Board Platforms

Your chosen package determines which job boards your vacancy is published to automatically. You can also select additional job boards if available:

  • Totaljobs

  • Reed.co.uk

  • CV-Library

  • Indeed

  • LinkedIn

  • Talent.com

  • Caterer

  • Others as available

Candidates By Email Source

Add custom sources for receiving applications via email by clicking Add Source. Enter a source name and generate a unique email address for that source.

Add extra details to help with candidate screening:

Extra details our AI will consider when reviewing applications

Screening Questions

Add up to 5 questions for candidates to answer during application

Question types:

  • Radio buttons - Single choice selection

  • Text area - Free text response

  • Select field - Dropdown menu

  • Multiple choice - Checkboxes for multiple selections

Review & Publish

Preview how your job posting will look on both desktop and mobile devices.

Review all the information you've entered and make any necessary changes by going back to previous steps.

When you're happy with everything, click the Publish Vacancy button to make your job posting live!

Tips for Success

Package selection:

  • Start with Free package to test performance

  • Choose Unbranded for wider reach on major UK job boards

  • Use Branded package when your company branding is important

Job descriptions:

  • Use the AI optimisation feature to improve your descriptions

  • Be clear and specific about role requirements

  • Include key benefits and company culture

Screening questions:

  • Ask questions that help you filter candidates early

  • Keep questions relevant to the role

  • Don't ask more than necessary (5 maximum)

Before publishing:

  • Preview on both desktop and mobile devices

  • Check all salary and location details are correct

  • Verify closing dates are set appropriately

  • Ensure the right hiring managers are selected

After Publishing

Once published, your vacancy will:

  • Appear on your careers page immediately

  • Be sent to job boards based on your selected package

  • Be available to share on social media (if selected)

  • Start accepting applications right away

You can edit your vacancy at any time from the Vacancies page.
