How to buy credits for job postings

Getting Started

Credits are used to publish job postings to premium job boards. This guide explains how to purchase credits and manage your credit balance.

Understanding Credits

Credits are units that allow you to:

  • Publish vacancies to premium job boards

  • Use Unbranded and Branded packages

  • Access paid job posting features

Different packages require different numbers of credits:

  • Free Package - No credits required

  • Unbranded Package - Requires credits - £299 per credit

  • Branded Package - Requires more credits - £399 per credit

Accessing Credit Purchase

To purchase credits:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar menu

  2. Click on Billing

  3. Look for Credits or Purchase Credits section

  4. Alternatively, when creating a vacancy, you may see a "Purchase Credits" button if you don't have enough

Purchasing Credits

Step 1: Select Credit Amount

  1. Choose how many credits you want to purchase

  2. Common amounts may include:

    • Small packages (e.g., 5-10 credits)

    • Medium packages (e.g., 20-50 credits)

    • Large packages (e.g., 100+ credits)

  3. Larger packages may offer better value

Step 2: Review Pricing

  1. Check the cost per credit

  2. Review the total amount

  3. Look for any discounts on larger purchases

  4. Ensure the amount meets your needs

Step 3: Payment

  1. Click "Purchase" or "Buy Credits"

  2. You'll be redirected to the secure payment portal

  3. Enter your payment details

  4. Complete the transaction

Step 4: Confirmation

  1. You'll receive a confirmation email

  2. Credits are added to your account immediately

  3. Your balance will update automatically

Checking Your Credit Balance

To view your current credit balance:

  1. Go to Settings > Billing

  2. Look for Credit Balance or Available Credits

  3. Your balance is displayed prominently

  4. You can also see it when creating a vacancy

Credit Usage

Credits are used when you:

  • Publish a vacancy with a Standard package

  • Publish a vacancy with a Premium package

  • Use premium job board features

Note: Free packages do not use credits.

Managing Credits

Viewing Credit History

To see your credit transactions:

  1. Navigate to Billing settings

  2. Look for "Credit History" or "Transactions"

  3. View purchases and usage

  4. Download statements if available

Credit Expiration

Check if your credits expire:

  • Some credits may have expiration dates

  • Use credits before they expire

  • Contact support if you have questions about expiration

Tips for Credit Management

Plan Your Purchases

  • Estimate how many vacancies you'll post

  • Consider buying in bulk for better value

  • Monitor your usage to avoid running out

Monitor Usage

  • Check your balance regularly

  • Track which packages use the most credits

  • Adjust your package selection based on budget

Optimise Credit Use

  • Use Free packages when appropriate

  • Reserve Premium packages for important roles

  • Mix packages based on job requirements

Credit Packages

Common credit packages may include:

  • Starter Pack - Small amount for testing

  • Standard Pack - Medium amount for regular use

  • Bulk Pack - Large amount for high-volume users

  • Custom Amount - Purchase exactly what you need

Payment Methods

Credits can be purchased using:

  • Credit or debit cards

  • Secure payment processing via Stripe

  • Same payment method as your subscription

Automatic Credit Purchase

Some organisations may have:

  • Auto-purchase when credits run low

  • Automatic top-up features

  • Credit subscriptions

Check with your organisation administrator for these options.

Troubleshooting

I can't purchase credits:

  • Ensure you have Organisation Admin permissions

  • Check that billing is enabled for your account

  • Verify your payment method is valid

  • Contact support if issues persist

Credits weren't added to my account:

  • Check your email for confirmation

  • Refresh the page

  • Wait a few minutes for processing

  • Contact support with your transaction details

I purchased too many credits:

  • Credits are typically non-refundable

  • You can use them for future vacancies

  • Contact support to discuss options

How do I know how many credits I need?

  • Check package requirements when creating a vacancy

  • Standard packages typically use fewer credits than Premium

  • Plan based on your expected vacancy volume

Can I transfer credits between organisations?

  • Credits are typically tied to your organisation

  • Contact support for transfer requests

  • This may not be available in all cases
