Getting Started

Your careers page is where candidates can view and apply for your job openings. This guide will walk you through the initial setup and configuration of your careers page.

Accessing Careers Page Settings

To access your careers page settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings in the sidebar menu

  2. Click on Career Page (available for paid plans)

  3. You'll see the careers page configuration options

Initial Setup

Step 1: Basic Information

Start by configuring basic information:

  • Company Name - Your organisation's name (pre-filled from organisation settings)

  • Back to Homepage URL - Link that appears on your careers page to return to your main website

  • Privacy Policy URL - Link to your privacy policy (required for compliance)

Step 2: Banner Text

Customise the text that appears on your careers page:

  • H1 Banner Text - Main heading on your careers page (e.g., "Join Our Team")

  • H2 Banner Text - Subheading or tagline (e.g., "Find Your Next Career Opportunity")

These texts appear prominently at the top of your careers page.

Step 3: Branding

Set up your visual branding:

  • Primary Colour - Main brand colour (used for buttons and highlights)

  • Secondary Colour - Secondary brand colour (used for accents)

  • Font Type - Choose from available fonts (Poppins, Montserrat, Arial, Roboto, Open Sans)

  • Logo - Upload your company logo

  • Hero Image - Upload a banner/hero image (optional)

Previewing Your Careers Page

Before going live:

  1. Click the Live Preview button (if CNAME is set up)

  2. Or use the default URL provided

  3. Review how your page looks

  4. Check on both desktop and mobile devices

  5. Make adjustments as needed

Publishing Your Careers Page

Once configured:

  • Your careers page is automatically live

  • Vacancies will appear on your careers page

  • Candidates can view and apply directly

  • Changes take effect immediately

Custom Domain Setup (CNAME)

To use your own domain:

  1. Enter your desired subdomain (e.g., "careers")

  2. The system will show your full CNAME (e.g., "careers.yourcompany.com")

  3. Configure DNS settings with your domain provider

  4. See the Setting Up a Custom Domain (CNAME) guide for detailed instructions

Tips

  • Use your brand colours consistently

  • Keep banner text concise and engaging

  • Ensure your logo is high quality

  • Test your page on mobile devices

  • Update content regularly

What Appears on Your Careers Page

Your careers page will display:

  • Company Branding - Logo, colours, and styling

  • Banner Text - Your custom headings

  • Live Vacancies - All active job postings

  • Job Details - Full job descriptions when clicked

  • Application Forms - Direct application capability

Troubleshooting

I can't see Career Page in Settings:

  • Career page requires a paid subscription plan

  • Check your current plan level

  • Upgrade your plan if needed

My changes aren't showing:

  • Refresh the page

  • Clear your browser cache

  • Wait a few moments for changes to propagate

The preview doesn't work:

  • Ensure your CNAME is configured correctly

  • Check DNS propagation (can take up to 48 hours)

  • Use the default URL if CNAME isn't set up yet

I need to change my company name:

  • Update it in Organisation settings first

  • Then update it in Career Page settings if needed

  • Changes sync automatically in most cases
