Getting Started

Your careers page branding helps create a consistent experience that reflects your company's identity. This guide covers all the branding options available for customising your careers page.

Accessing Branding Settings

To customise your branding:

  1. Go to Settings > Career Page

  2. Scroll to the branding section

  3. Make your changes

  4. Click Save to apply

Colours

Primary Colour

Your primary colour is used for:

  • Call-to-action buttons

  • Links and interactive elements

  • Headings and highlights

  • Key visual elements

To set your primary colour:

  1. Click on the primary colour picker

  2. Choose a colour from the palette

  3. Or enter a hex code directly

  4. The colour updates in real-time

Tips:

  • Use your brand's primary colour

  • Ensure good contrast for readability

  • Test how it looks on your page

Secondary Colour

Your secondary colour is used for:

  • Backgrounds and accents

  • Secondary buttons

  • Borders and dividers

  • Supporting elements

To set your secondary colour:

  1. Click on the secondary colour picker

  2. Select a complementary colour

  3. Ensure it works well with your primary colour

Fonts

Choose a font that matches your brand:

Available Fonts

  • Poppins - Modern, clean sans-serif

  • Montserrat - Geometric, professional

  • Arial - Classic, widely supported

  • Roboto - Friendly, readable

  • Open Sans - Versatile, web-optimised

To change your font:

  1. Select from the font dropdown

  2. Preview how it looks

  3. Save your selection

Considerations:

  • Match your main website font if possible

  • Ensure readability on all devices

  • Some fonts work better for headings vs body text

Logo

Your company logo appears on your careers page:

Uploading Your Logo

  1. Click Upload Logo or Choose File

  2. Select an image file (JPG or PNG)

  3. Maximum file size: 500KB

  4. Recommended dimensions: 200-300px width

  5. The logo will appear in the header

Logo Best Practices:

  • Use a high-quality image

  • Ensure it's the right size (not too large or small)

  • Use a transparent background if possible

  • Test how it looks on different backgrounds

Logo Display

Your logo typically appears:

  • In the page header

  • On mobile and desktop views

  • As a link back to your homepage (if configured)

Hero Image

A hero image is a large banner image at the top of your page:

Adding a Hero Image

  1. Click Upload Hero Image

  2. Select an image file

  3. Recommended size: 1200-1920px width

  4. Keep file size reasonable for fast loading

Hero Image Tips:

  • Use high-quality, professional images

  • Ensure it represents your company culture

  • Consider text overlay readability

  • Optimise file size for web

Banner Text

H1 Banner Text

Your main heading:

  • Appears prominently at the top

  • Should be engaging and clear

  • Examples: "Join Our Team", "Find Your Next Career"

Best Practices:

  • Keep it short and impactful

  • Use your brand voice

  • Make it action-oriented

H2 Banner Text

Your subheading:

  • Appears below the main heading

  • Provides additional context

  • Examples: "We're Hiring", "Explore Opportunities"

Best Practices:

  • Complement the main heading

  • Add personality or context

  • Keep it concise

Company Name

Your company name appears throughout the page:

  • In the header

  • In page titles

  • In meta information

Update it in Organisation settings if needed.

Back to Homepage Link

Configure where the "Back to Homepage" link goes:

  1. Enter your website URL

  2. This link appears on your careers page

  3. Helps candidates navigate to your main site

Preview Your Changes

Always preview before finalising:

  1. Click Live Preview (if CNAME is set)

  2. Or use the preview URL provided

  3. Check desktop and mobile views

  4. Ensure all elements look correct

  5. Test on different browsers

Brand Consistency

Maintain consistency across:

  • Colours - Match your main website

  • Fonts - Use similar typography

  • Logo - Use the same logo version

  • Tone - Match your brand voice

Tips

  • Start Simple - Begin with basic branding and refine

  • Test Thoroughly - Check on multiple devices

Troubleshooting

My logo looks blurry:

  • Upload a higher resolution image

  • Ensure it's the correct file format (PNG recommended)

  • Check the original image quality

Colours don't match my brand:

  • Use a colour picker tool to get exact hex codes

  • Test colours in different lighting

  • Consider accessibility (contrast ratios)

Font doesn't look right:

  • Try different font options

  • Some fonts render differently on various devices

  • Consider web-safe alternatives

Changes aren't saving:

  • Ensure you click Save

  • Check for error messages

  • Refresh the page and try again

Hero image is too large:

  • Compress the image before uploading

  • Use image optimisation tools

  • Consider the file size limit (500KB)
