Getting Started

Your talentATS careers page is hosted at a unique URL that you choose. This creates a professional and branded web address for candidates to find and apply to your jobs.

How It Works

Your careers page URL follows this format: [your-chosen-name].careers.talentats.ai

For example:

  • client-1.careers.talentats.ai

  • joe-bloggs-limited.careers.talentats.ai

  • acme-recruitment.careers.talentats.ai

  • techcorp-jobs.careers.talentats.ai

Setting Up Your URL

Step 1: Choose Your Identifier

  1. Navigate to Settings > Career Page

  2. Find the CNAME or Custom URL field

  3. Enter your chosen identifier (e.g., "your-company-name")

  4. Click Save

What to Choose

Your identifier should be:

  • Memorable - Easy for candidates to remember and type

  • Professional - Represents your company well

  • Simple - Shorter is usually better

  • Unique - Must be available (system will tell you if it's taken)

Good examples:

  • your-company-name

  • company-careers

  • companyname-jobs

  • company-recruitment

Avoid:

  • Random numbers or letters

  • Overly long names

  • Special characters (stick to letters, numbers, and hyphens)

  • Spaces (use hyphens instead)

Step 2: Verify Your URL

Once saved:

  1. Your careers page is immediately available at your new URL

  2. Use the Live Preview button to view it

  3. Share this URL with candidates

  4. Add it to your website, email signatures, and job postings

Changing Your URL

To change your careers page identifier:

  1. Go to Settings > Career Page

  2. Update the CNAME field with your new identifier

  3. Click Save

  4. Your careers page will immediately be available at the new URL

Note: Your old URL will stop working once you change it, so update any links you've shared.

Using Your Careers Page URL

Once set up, you can:

  • Add the link to your company website

  • Include it in email signatures

  • Share it on social media

  • Use it in job advertisements

  • Add it to business cards

  • Include it in recruitment materials

Tips

  • Choose carefully - Pick a name you'll be happy with long-term

  • Keep it short - Easier for candidates to type and remember

  • Match your brand - Use your company name or a recognizable variation

  • Test it - Make sure you can type it easily and it looks professional

  • Update your materials - Add your new URL to all recruitment touchpoints

Troubleshooting

"This identifier is already taken":

  • Try adding your industry or location (e.g., "acme-tech" or "acme-london")

  • Add "careers", "jobs", or "recruitment" to your company name

  • Try a variation or abbreviation of your company name

My URL isn't working:

  • Check you've saved your changes in Career Page settings

  • Make sure you're using the full URL including ".careers.talentats.ai"

  • Try clearing your browser cache

  • Wait a moment and try again

I want to change my URL:

  • You can update it any time in Career Page settings

  • Remember to update any links you've previously shared

  • Inform anyone who has bookmarked your old URL

Can I use my own domain (e.g., careers.mycompany.com)?:

  • Currently, careers pages are hosted on careers.talentats.ai

  • This ensures reliability and automatic SSL security

  • Your chosen identifier still provides a professional, branded URL

Best Practices

Make it discoverable:

  • Add your careers page link prominently on your website

  • Include it in your website footer

  • Add it to your "About Us" or "Careers" page

  • Include it in automated email footers

Promote it:

  • Share on LinkedIn and social media

  • Include in job postings on external boards

  • Add to email signatures for your recruitment team

  • Include on business cards for hiring managers

Keep it consistent:

  • Use the same URL across all platforms

  • Don't change it frequently

  • Match it to your other branded materials where possible
